Snow Much Fun on Vellum+ Blog Candy WINNER!

Hi Stampers! Today's post is a card I made using the stamp set Snow Much Fun (w 122560 c 122562), I can't seem to get enough of the cute snowmen in this set!

First, I stamped the snowman image using black ink on Card Stock Vellum (101856). Then simply turn the vellum over and color where ever you want using Stampin Write Markers! Colors used in this card are Pool Party and Island Indigo.

Spice Cake Masculine Birthday Card

Hi Stampers! As most of us know, masculine cards can be a struggle to create. But this time of year the trees, leaves, etc seem to make it much easier (for me anyhow!).

Today I decided to play with my Leaves #2 Die (113459), perfect for masculine cards! The Big Shot (113439) does all the work for me, love that :) Then I pulled out my VersaMarker (100901) and simply drew the veins on the leaves, easy peasy!

I used Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (124003), and the button is from the Neutrals Designer Buttons pack (119743).

Christmas Rosette Wreath

Hi Stampers! I got together over the weekend with my mom Karen, my niece Ashlee and my friend Jan to make these awesome Rosette Wreaths!

We used Stampin Up's DSP Holly Berry Bouquet (124004), the coordinating buttons (125636) and Cherry Cobbler Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (125056). The rosettes were scored using our Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334). Miscellaneous supplies included glass glitter and punches.

We mounted them on foam board that Jan cut for us, worked out perfectly!

Christmas Card Buffet Coming Soon!

Join us for some stamping fun! Christmas Card Buffet's will be held at my home twice a month October through December. You pick which dates work best for you. Just like a food buffet, you can pick and choose which cards you'd like to make, and how many of them. Your $16 fee covers a minimum of 8 cards. You can make more if you have time, at $1.50 per card. All supplies, tools and envelopes are included. Each month there will be at least 8 card choices, and some designs may be carried over each month to the next card buffet event. You chose which designs you make, AND at your own pace. This event is open will be open from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. Arrive by 1:00 pm at the latest, to ensure time to complete at least 8 cards.

Gently Falling: Embossed Leaves

Hi Stampers! Today's post is a card I made using the set, Gently Falling (c 123802 w 123804). I was inspired by another card on the internet, and now I can't find it :( If it was your card, please let me know so I can give you proper credit :)

The main card is Pool Party card stock, with a layer of Spice Cake DSP (124003). The button from the Spice Cake Designer Button collection (124113). I added a knot to the button using Victoria Crochet Trim (118481).

To make the embossed leaf, first I stamped the solid image leaf with Pool Party ink. Then, using sponge daubers I daubed More Mustard and Soft Suede on the inked up stamp to create multiple colors in the leaf. Once stamped, I used the matching outline stamp in the set and stamped over the colored image using Soft Suede ink. After cutting out the leaf, I embossed using Clear Embossing Powder.

I added some coordinating leaves to the inside of the card. Oh, and the "thank you" greeting on the front is from the set, Just Believe (w 116948 c 120453).

Coffee Cup Card!

Hi Stampers! Today's post is a card we made at my Stamp Camp last month. The creator of this darling card is Lorri Heiling (Hey Lorri!). I'm sure most of you have seen her awesome work, but if not visit her blog here. She's so talented, and sweet too!

The pink lips are actually a stamp! The girls at my class thought we were going to "kiss" the card stock..lol! But no need! Stampin Up has thought of everything. this is an individual stamp called S.W.A.K (w 120861) and is only $5.95. The main card is Pear Pizzazz, card stock and the "sleeve" is made with Crumb Cake card stock and the Crimper Tool (101618)

The Early Espresso polka dot label is from the set, Four Frames (w123440 c 123442). After punching out the stamped label with the Decorative Label Punch (120907), I added the greeting from the set, Oval All (w 113790).

How cute is this? I added a Caribou Coffee Gift Card to the inside. What coffee lover wouldn't want to receive this?! Want to know how to make this DARLING card (or gift card holder)? Best of Everything Fun Fold + Instructions

Hi Stampers! Today's card is another version of this card I posted on September 1st. I received an email from one of my readers, Peggy Olsen (Hi Peggy!), asking if I would provide the dimensions for that card. Since I had already given the card to my Grandma for her birthday, and forgot to write down the dimensions (duh!), I decided to make another one :) I'm so glad I did, I LOVE this fold!

I used the stamp set, Best of Everything ( 123534 c 123536), how cute is that little bird?!? To make the card, start with a piece of 4"1'4" x 5 1/2" Calypso Coral card stock. Next, using Lucky Limeade card stock, cut at 4" x 5 1/4". Run the Lucky Limeade through your Big Shot (113439) using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (117335), and attach to the Calypso Coral piece of card stock.

Next, cut a piece of Calypso Coral card stock at 8 1/2" x 3" and score at 4 1/4". Fold on score line and attach back flap to back of card as shown in photo above.

So far, the front of your card should look like the above photo.

To decorate the front flap of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White card stock at 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" and stamp as desired. I stamped the little button stamp using Calypso Coral ink. For a little added interest, I punched out a strip of Wisteria Wonder card stock using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (119275) and attached 1/2 of the punched image to the bottom of the white card stock as shown in the photo above To make the scallop square on the front of the card, I simply used the Big Shot again and the Scallop Squares Duo Die (120903). The Lucky Limeade card stock that is layered on the scallop square measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/2", and the white layer of card stock is 2 1/4" x 2 1/4". Attach the Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon to the back of the card using SNAIL as shown above.

For the inside, I just layered a scallop square of white card stock directly behind the Calypso Coral piece on the front, as shown in the photo above. Tie in a pretty bow and you are done! Email me if you have any questions.

Kindness Matters CPC3

Hi Stampers! Today's post is a card I made for the Creating Pretty Cards Challenge over at Craft Project Central. Be sure to play along to be eligible for a $50 Stampin Up shopping spree!

Here's the sketch! I love the layout, especially the 3 circles...let your imagination go wild :)

Okay, my imagination didn't go that wild (lol), but here's what I came up with :) I love the monochromatic look and Rich Razzleberry. The stamp set is called Kindness Matters (w 122900 c 122902), and the clear mount set is only $8.95! (wood mount is only $11.95)

I don't know what took me so long to order the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die (118138). All you do is run it through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine (113439) and it cuts the butterflies for you. I finished off the butterflies with some Basic Rhinestones (119246). I used the Lace Ribbon Border Punch (122362) too, my new favorite punch!

Here's a peek at how I decorated the inside, simple but cute :) The stamps I used for the inside are also included in the set, Kindness Matters.

Easy Events Birthday Card

Hi Stampers! Today's post is a card I made for my Grandma's Birthday, she's 95 years old :) Pretty amazing, huh?

The stamp set is called Easy Events (w 116958 c 123225), isn't that cupcake darling?

After I colored the cupcake in with a Blender Pen (102845), I added Dazzling Diamonds (102023) to make the frosting "pop" :) For the cherry, I simply punched out Red Glimmer Paper (121790) using my Cupcake Builder Punch (121807).

To open the card, simply untie the ribbon :) The sentiment on the inside is the set, A Word For You (w 117032 c 120528). If you have any questions, shoot me an email. I'm always happy to help :)

The main image is the hostess set, Simply Soft. But first I stamped Crumb Cake card stock with the Very Vintage wheel (117693) along the bottom of the card. The main image is stamped with Soft Suede ink on Natural Ivory card stock. I used Baja Breeze for the flowers and filled in with Lucky Limeade marker for the stems.

To make the ruffled ribbon, I simply put a strip of Sticky Strip along the bottom of the back side of the stamped panel. Then using Crumb Cake Seam Binding (122332) I scrunched up the seam binding to ruffle. Easy peasy! It's hard to tell from this photo, but I used Silver Fox Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink on the flowers.

The inside of the card is stamped with another flower image from Simply Soft, using Soft Suede ink. Oh, and the greeting is from the set, Thank You Kindly (w 111700). Let me know if you have any questions, and have a great day!

Stampin Up - Notably Ornate

Hi Stampers! I love this next project! There are times when you just need to write a little note to someone, and what better way than with this darling handmade note "paper" :)

This stamp set is called Notably Ornate (w 117098 c 120561). As you can see, these little notes are easy to assemble! I thought packing 6 or 8 together along with envelopes tied in a big bow....wouldn't that make a cute gift? Love that!

The punches I used for the label are Decorative Label Punch (120907 and the Boho Blossom Punch (119858). Easy!

Raining Flowers Fun Fold w/ Instructions

Hi Stampers! Today's card was inspired by a swap I received at Convention, isn't this great?!?

I used the stamp set, Raining Flowers (w 122765 c 122767), and the designer paper layer is from Paisley Petals (122367). Colors used on this card are Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive.

To make the white accordion fold, cut your Whisper White card stock at 4" x 11". Score at: 2-3/4", 5 1/2" and 8 1/4", then fold as shown in the photo. Decorate as desired and attach to the the card front as shown above.

I used Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (119256) to finish it off. That's it! Easy peasy! Have fun creating your own fun fold card and let me know if you have any questions.

Pennant Punch Party Hats!

Have you seen the new Stampin Up punch, Petite Pennants (122361)? Pennants are so popular right now, and I love that...but that's not the real reason I'm so crazy about this punch!

Check this out, the party hats are made using the Pennants Punch! I have also seen this punch used for Christmas trees, candy corn, etc. The list goes on and on! The card stock I used for the main card is Island Indigo, a new In-Color. Love that! The other ink colors are Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade. The greeting is from Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess Set). I also used the Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402) and added some White Bakers Twine (124262)

I simply stamped another party hat on the inside and topped it off with a Basic Rhinestone (119246).

Creating Pretty Cards – Card Challenge #2

Hi Stampers! For some reason, I'm ahead of the game today! (must be the coffee...ha ha!) Here's my card for Craft Project Centrals - Creating Pretty Cards Challenge! Check out this great sketch!

And, here's my card.....simple! Can you spot the NEW products from the catty?

The first new product is this stamp set...it's called Posy Punch and is FREE as a Hostess Set! It coordinates with our Fancy Flower Punch (118073)..which I love! I also used the 1" and 3/4" Circle Punches. What could be more simple?

Another NEW product is the Houndstooth Embossing Folder (123134). So often when I am crafting, I reach for Embossing Folders. They are affordable and add so much to any project!

I finished off the inside so it's just as pretty as the outside! (well, almost as pretty...lol).

Other materials used in this card:

Petal Cone Die (121810) for the scallops
Crimper (101618)
Blossom Petals Builder Punch (121808) for the leaves

Colors are: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and Pear Pizzaz.

Here's my card for the sketch challenge.....isn't this a cute stamp set? It's a new Hostess Set called Simply Soft (w 122565 c 122567). The base of the card is Island Indigo and the layered paper is Pool Part.

It's SO hard to tel from this photo, but I used the 2 Way Glue Pen on the flowers and added Dazzling Diamonds. The little blue flowers on the side were made using the Boho Blossom Punch (119858), with a Basic Rhinestone (119246) in the center of each flower. Materials also used for this card is the Tulip Frame Embossing Folder and the Word Window Punch.

Simply Sent Great Day

At the Stampin Up Convention we all received a Simply Sent Great Day (122375) card kit (wasn't that nice?!?). These little kits are so cool! Included are enough materials to make 8 cards, including embellishments and envelopes! They are great for gift giving, for beginner stampers, or just to have on hand to whip up a quick card!

Here's a REALLY simple card I made using the Simply Sent Kit. You can add a sentiment too, but I just wanted mine to be a blank note card.

The red flower is a die cut and all you do is peel and stick! I added a flower button that also comes in the kit.

Each kit contains:
8 printed cards (5 1/2" x 4 1/4")
4 self-adhesive coordinating accents
8 Whisper White small flower buttoms
8 precut Bashful Blue 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon Strips
8 White envelopes

Punched Flower Pot Instructions: Array of Sunshine

Hi Stampers! Today's card is one we made last week at my Stamp Camp. There are a couple different techniques here. One, is making this adorable flower pot using the Eyelet Border Punch (119853), and the second is the masking technique on the flowers.

Here's how to make your own flower pot:

Cut Poppy Parade card stock at 4" x 3"
In landscape position, score card stock at 1 1/2"
Using the Eyelet Border Punch, punch border along the 3" side closest to the score line
Mark 1/2" along the bottom of your pot from either side. (this is the opposite end from the punched border)
Trim a diagonal cut from each of the marks to the outer edge of teh scored line. This forms the shape of your pot.
If desired, ink up your Brayer with Poppy Parade ink and roll ink on the front of your pot.
Fold your decorative edge oer the brayered side and secure with ribbon.

Then I simply masked the flowers using Array of Sunshine hostess set. The colors are Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze and So Saffron. Check out Splitcoast Stampers tutorial on masking, it's super easy! I stamped the images one more time and cut out the center, popped up and added a Basic Pearl (119247).

The greeting on the front of the card was stamped using the set, Curly Cute (w 117014 c 120510), and punched using the Modern Label Punch (119849).

Convention Highlights Video

Hi Stampers! WOW, what a Convention!!! I traveled with my upline Dawn Olchefske and fellow downline buddies Jan Carlson and Jenny Maetzold. It was Jenny's first Stampin Up Convention, and we were all so excited for her, nothing like your first time! She absolutely loved it (of course!). If that wasn't exciting enough, our upline Dawn was ranked as the top 25th Demonstrator in the US! And, our friend Kelly Acheson was ranked 10th Demonstrator! Our group was so proud of them! They are both fabulous and deserve all the recognition they receive from Stampin Up. Then to top it off, Dawn was selected to be on the Advisory Board this year! This is quite an honor, and we are all so happy for her! If you weren't able to join us at Convention to see all the excitement, here is a video of Convention Highlights....how fun!!!

NEW!!! In Colors: Delicate Doilies

Hey Stampers! I'm almost ready for Convention...woo hoo! Can't wait to land in Salt Lake City with my friends Dawn, Jan and Jenny! Today's share is one of the swaps I made for an event we are attending tomorrow night. For those who don't know, swaps are card fronts that you share with other stampers. I am a self-admitted swap-aholic, just ask my stampin' friends...lol. I have made close to 400 swaps for Convention, so looking forward to sharing some of my favorites with all of you when I get home.

The new In-Colors in the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog are SO yummy, and this is one of my favorite color combo's using the new colors. The base of the card is Island Indigo, the light blue square on the right is Pool Party and the green layer on the white card stock is Lucky Limeade. If you remember Kiwi Kiss, it is close to that. The stamp set is called Delicate Doilies (w 122590 c 122592) and is a new set I reach for often, isn't is cute?!?

The sentiment Wish Big is from the set, Word Play (w120308 c 120651), another set I reach for constantly. And after I stamped the doilies on whisper white card stock, I ran it through my Big Shot (113439) using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976). Finish it off with a Basic Rhinestone (119246) and you're set!

Big Shot Lamb Nugget Holder

Craft Project Central #2

Hi Stampers! It's time for Craft Projects Central's 2nd project for July! This project was made by Kris Kilkenny, thanks Kris! Your project is stunning!

Turn a wooden spool into a mini album and wrap your memories around it! This mini scrapbook contains five pages and can be customized to fit any size vintage spool. When the scrapbook is open, the pages are attached to the spool. Set it on a shelf or table, this little scrapbook makes a cute antique looking home decor item whether opened or closed. Create a matching vintage card to complete the set and make a great little gift! Sewers, grandparents, teachers, etc. would be thrilled with this pretty and unique gift!
