Wellness Wishes Pop-Up Card

Hi Stampers!  The stamp set used for this card is Wellness Wishes (w 115356).  Did you know that this is one of the FREE stamp sets you can get during Stampin' Up's Sale-a-Bration?

The card stock is Pacific Point, and the designer paper is called Celebrations (117164).  The large red scallop is from the Celebrations Quick Accent (118708)  (page 176 of the IB&C).

Here's the "pop-up" part :)  The red rick-rack is also from the Quick Accents packet.  I punched the hearts using the Heart to Heart punch (119881).

To learn how to make your own pop-up card check out the tutorial on Splitcoast.  I decided to make this card  4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square rather than the standard card size.

Don't forget about Sale-a-Bration!  It's Stampin' Up's most popular promotion of the year. After all, who doesn't love FREE Stamps?!?  If not, that's okay!  They also have FREE designer paper, ribbons, buttons, digital content CD and Decor Elements.  There's  something for everyone :)

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Challenge Thursday SSC #037: Happy I Do Day!

It's time again for our DOstamping Stars Thursday Challenge.  This week's challenge is Musical Mania, and the musical is Funny Girl.

These Circle Scallop Dresses were popping up all over the internet last year, and I thought this is the perfect opportunity to dig out my template again.  I LOVE these dresses!  To make the template just run a piece of card board backing from a pack of designer paper or chip board through your Circle Scallop Die (113468) and cut in the shape of the dress.  Use that as your template for future dresses :)

I used my 2 Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds to outline the dress and the sentiment for an extra "pop".  (click on photo to get a closer look).  I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch (119882) on the edge of the card to coordinate with the scallops in the dress, and lined the inside flap with a strip of Perfect Plum card stock.  The embossing folder for the dress is Elegant Lines (119277).  The pearls are Basic Pearls (119247).  They even have a glue dot on the back of them, so all you have to do is stick 'em on!

The sentiment is from Word Play (w 120308 c 120651), and I added a Basic Rhinestone (119246)  for a "diamond" ring :)

If you want to play along with our challenges, please do!  Simply leave a comment with a link to your project; we'd love to see your creations! I will happily share your creation on my blog.

Note Pad DVD Case - Awash with Flowers

Hello!  I made this project a while ago, and just realized I haven't shared it with you yet.  I have seen several versions of this idea on the internet, so not sure where it started. But, it's a CUTE idea!

This is a Clear Mount Stamp Case from Stampin' Up (119105).  You can order 4 empty cases for only $4.95, isn't that a great deal?  The stamp sets I used are Awash with Flowers (w 117062 c 120549) and Sweet Shoppe Alphabet Upper (w 118722 c 120582).

Here's the inside.  I just bought the large Sticky Note Pad and stuck it inside.  The pen is from the Stampin' Up Convention last summer :)  These note pads are great for having on hand in your purse, your car or right by your desk.

Inspiration for this flower from Jen Sannes

To add some "bling" to the flower, I simply used my 2 Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds, that's it!

I decorated the back of it as well.  Very simple, but cute!  Don't forget to add the Clear Mount Stamp Cases to your next order, they are great to have on-hand for making a quick gift!

Clearly for You - Two Tags

Hi Stampers!  Today's post is a project I have seen several places on the internet.  It was a project created by Stampin Up's one and only, Shelli Gardner.

Wouldn't this be a cute gift tag, or bookmark?  I used the stamp set Clearly for You (w 121911 c 121976), and the die is called Two Tags Die (115954). Card stocks are Confetti White and Pear Pizzaz.

Stampin' Up Basic Rhinestones (119246) add the perfect touch to any project.   And, OMGosh.,..what a bargain!  For only $4.95 you get 150 Rhinestones.  The same for Basic Pearls (119247)...just $4.95! The Rhinestone in the center of the butterfly gives it just the right amount of "bling" :)

I simply popped up the scallop circle with Dimensionals....that's it!  Super easy project to put together and also has the WOW factor :) Thanks Shelli for the inspiration.

Bring on the Cake

Hi Stampers!  Hello from MinneSNOWta!  We got another 12+ inches last night, you know what that means?  Stuck inside, so more time to stamp!

Inspired by Susan La Croix

I found inspiration for this card from Susan La Croix, thank you Susan!  You can see Susans card here at Julie Davison's fabulous blog!  I used the stamp set, Bring on the Cake (w 121899 c 121958) found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  This set includes 13 stamps!  I can see this set as my go-to set for birthdays.  I like this card because it would be appropriate for anyone, don't you think?  Good one to have on hand in the stash-box :).

For the scallop border, I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402).  To color the word BIRTHDAY, I simply used my Stampin' Write Markers.  Colors in this card are Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise.  The coordinating brads are from Bright Brads (119740).  To tie the ribbon, I simple attached a strip of  Rich Razzleberry to the white card stock.  Then took a snipette of Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive and tied them together.  Easy!

Bliss Swap Minneapolis Regionals

Hi Stampers!  Last weekend I attended Stampin Up Minneapolis Regional Event and this was another one of my general swaps.

Inspired by Sarah Wills

I found inspiration for this swap from Sarah Wills, thank you Sarah!  The sentiment is from the Sale-a-Bration set BlissBliss also comes with a similar flower you could use for this card, but I didn't want to cut them out by hand since I was making several of these to swap. So, I used the flower stamp from Punch Potpourri (Level One Hostess Set and punched out with my Boho Blossom Punch.  The colors in this card are Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Marina Mist.
I added Dazzling Diamonds to the center of each flower.  Some of the flowers are popped up with Dimensionals.

Did You Know......
You can get the stamp set Bliss for FREE?  But, only for a limited time.  It is one of the sets included in the Sale-a-Bration Promotion.  Bliss is one of the most popular SAB sets, so hurry...you don't want to miss out.

Challenge Thursday SSC #036 Easter Blossoms

Happy Thursday!  It's time once again for our DOstamping Stars Challenge Thursday!  Today's challenge is a Sketch, check it out :)

If you want to play along with our challenges, please do!  Simply leave a comment with a link to your project; we'd love to see your creations! I will happily share your creation on my blog.

Inspired by Melanie Baker

The inspiration for my card came from a gorgeous swap I received from Melanie Baker at Mpls Regionals, thanks Melanie!  I think I am more of a Clean and Simple (CAS) card maker....honestly, I struggle with vintage, but love going outside my comfort zone once in a while :)  I used the stamp set Easter Blossoms (w 121905 c 122057) found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The colors I used are Baja Breeze, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.  I used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976) for the back panels.

I spotlighted the main image using the Full Heart Punch (119883).  The greeting was stamped in Soft Suede and punched out using the Large Oval Punch (119859) and finished off with the Scallop Oval Punch (119856).  I used my Color Spritzer Tool (107066) to mist ink from a marker to create a splattered look.  And the edges were also sponged in Soft Suede Ink.

Punch Bunch Owl

Hello!  "Spring" is in the air here in Minnesota!  This week we are going to be in the mid to upper 30's, and that's considered warm here lately.  I am SO ready for spring, as most Minnesotan's are :)  I think today I will pull out my Bold Brights and make some "sunny" cards...lol!

Inspired by Barb Mullikin

Today's post is another swap card I made for Minneapolis Regionals.  This card was totally inspired by Barb Mullikin, thank you Barb!  I used Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Riding Hood Red card stock.  The owl is from the Sale-a-Bration set Punch Bunch (w 121847 c 123211).  I also used the SAB set So Happy for You (w 121853 c 123220) for the sentiment.  You can get any Sale-a-Bration set for FREE with a $50.00 purchase during Sale-a-Bration.  To place an order visit my online store.

I used my Big Shot (113439) and the Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die (120903) for the crumb cake scallop square.  The branch was made using my Two Step Bird Punch (117191).  The owl and heart were punched out using the Two Step Owl Punch (118074).  I popped up the owl with Dimensionals.

Minneapolis Regionals - Punch Art Bliss

Happy Valentine's Day!  I went to Minneapolis Regionals this past weekend, and it was FABULOUS!  I loved spending time with friends, catching up with others that I don't see often and meeting NEW friends!  Aren't stampers the nicest, friendliest people ever?!?  I think so!

Shelli was nice enough to take time to join us in our group photo!  We had such a great time, can't you tell by our smiles?!?  Top Row (left to right):  Melissa, Bobbi, Jessica, Gayle, Laurie (me), Jenny and Ann
Bottom Row (left to right) Robin, Debbie, Shelli, Jan and Dawn

On Friday night our group and Kelly Acheson's group got together for a Shoebox Swap!  Here's a photo of Kelly and Dawn together at Regionals (Hey Gals!)  There were a total of 34 cards for our shoebox swap!  Here's the card I made for our swap:

I used the Stampin Up stamp set, Bliss (w 123255 c 123240).  Did you know you can get this set FREE with a $50.00 order?  Check out the links at the bottom of this post for how to place an order.  The base of the card is Rose Red, with a layer of Very Vanilla card stock.  I used the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder (121809). The designer paper is called Springtime Vintage (121782).  The little 1" x 4 1/4" strips go a long way and add interest to the card.  The leaf is made using the Little Leaves Die (114511) and Pear Pizzaz card stock.

To make the flowers, I simply ran Very Vanilla card stock through my Big Shot (113439) using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976), then I punched out using the Fancy Flower Punch (118073).  I used a brad to hold the flower layers together and added a Basic Pearl (119247) to the top of the brad.  Oh, and I also used the Boho Blossom Punch (119858) to make the green center of the flower.
